I've wanted to do a post about this for awhile, I'm just concerned I'm not going to do it justice.
A month ago my sister gave me this book called the Christian Atheist
I poured through the book... couldn't get enough of it. I really would like other people to read it and I'm not sure what to say about it that would cause you to buy it or borrow it from a library.
I felt a sense of mourning after I was finished. I want to hear more of what this guy had to say. And who is this "Craig Groeschel"?
This is what Wikipedia says about him...
In 1996, Groeschel and a handful of people started Life Covenant Church in a two-car garage. Groeschel later told Business Week that he started by performing market research of non-churchgoers, and designed his church in response to what he learned.[4] Groeschel’s non-traditional style was successful and attendance of Life Covenant grew rapidly, eventually evolving to become (as of December 2009) the second largest church in the United States with thirteen LifeChurch.tv campuses[5] Groeschel began using video to deliver some of sermons when his fourth child was born in 2001 and he was unavailable for the Sunday service; he discovered that the videos were popular with his churchgoers, and his church has continued to use them.
I found his podcasts on iTunes and WOW! If you are even wavering just a little bit about if there is or isn't this Jesus guy I really encourage you to check out the series titled ...
...Seriously, that's the title of one of his sermon series. If that grabs your attention check out his FAQ series that answers lot of questions like "do good people go to heaven?" and "do pets go to heaven?", etc, etc. and if your still interested check out the series Supernatural. Heck, check them all out; the Practical Atheist, the Marriage series... They're free, and I highly recommend the video podcasts, over the audio. Seriously, humor me and check it out. His podcasts are under Lifechurch.tv.
